Nebraska Wesleyan senior outside hitter Abby Bade has been named to the NCAA Division III/AVCA All-America Third Team. Bade becomes just the fifth player in NWU volleyball history to be named to the AVCA All-America Team.
Bade (Sr., Lincoln, Neb.) finished her career ranked sixth in NWU history in career kills with 1,222. She was just one kill behind current Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball coach Gina Chambers for fifth all-time.
This season Bade led NWU with 330 kills (3.14 kpg) and helped the Prairie Wolves to a 20-10 overall record and a trip into the second round of the NCAA III Tournament. She earned First-Team All-GPAC and was named to the All-Tournament teams at both the Wartburg College and Simpson College Tournament. Bade was the MVP of the Wartburg Tournament.
The Lincoln Southwest H.S., graduate was a Second-Team All-GPAC performer as a junior when she had 430 kills, the seventh highest total in NWU history.
