Prairie Wolves Make Quick Work of Mt. Marty

Nebraska Wesleyan wasted little time in getting back in the win column as the Prairie Wolves downed Mount Marty College, 3-0, in just over one hour in Great Plains Athletic Conference volleyball action on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 3) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb. NWU won all three sets with scores of 25-12, 25-12, 25-12.

The Prairie Wolves, ranked #21 in the AVCA/DIII Top 25, improve to 14-5 overall and 4-3 in the GPAC, while the Lancers are 3-16 and still winless in the GPAC at 0-7.

NWU held Mount Marty to a negative hitting percentage as they had just 11 kills with 21 total errors. Nebraska Wesleyan had a very good hitting percentage swinging .337 with 44 kills.

Laura Brammeier had another double-double with 11 kills and 16 digs. Six other players had at least six kills in the balanced attack for NWU. Ashley Jedlicka handed out 31 assists in the win.

The Prairie Wolves will travel to Hastings, Neb., on Tuesday to face Hastings College in a GPAC match. NWU will have two home matches next weekend when they host Sioux Falls on Friday night and Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday.
