The Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team moved up to No. 21 in this week’s AVCA Division III Coaches Top 25 Poll that was released on Sept. 29. The Prairie Wolves were ranked No. 24 in last week’s poll. [Complete Poll]
Nebraska Wesleyan has a 13-4 overall record this season. The Prairie Wolves went 2-1 last week with Great Plains Athletic Conference victories on the road at Concordia and Midland Lutheran. The Prairie Wolves lone loss was a 3-2 decision at Dana College.
The No. 21 ranking is the highest that Nebraska Wesleyan has been ranked since the final poll in 2002 where the Prairie Wolves ended the season at No. 16.
Nebraska Wesleyan has two GPAC matches this week. The Prairie Wolves travel to Crete, Neb., on Friday night to take on rival Doane College at 7:30 pm. On Saturday, NWU will return to Snyder Arena for just their second home match of the season. Nebraska Wesleyan will host Mount Marty College at 3 pm.
