December 20

Rayna Cain has been hired as the new head volleyball coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Cain becomes the 13th head coach in the history of the NWU volleyball program. She takes over for Gina Chambers who resigned her position after eight seasons to spend more time with her family.

November 30

Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball placed four players on the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) All-Independent volleyball team that was recently announced. Four NWU players were named to the All-AD3I teams with Cody Long and Caitlin Anderson named to AD3I First-Team, and Mackenzie Hite and Brittnie Kreikemeier selected to the Second-Team.

November 16

Three players on the Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team  were named to the 2011 Great Plains Athletic Conference Volleyball All-Conference team that was announced Wednesday (Nov. 16). Sophomore Caitlin Anderson and freshman Cody Long were both Second-Team All-GPAC selections, while sophomore Mackenzie Hite was honorable mention.

November 10

Gina Chambers has announced her plans to step away from the volleyball coaching ranks and her position as the head volleyball coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University to devote more time to her family. She will step down at the end of the semester.

November 5

Nebraska Wesleyan had a disappointing end to the regular season as they dropped all three matches in the final week as Dordt College defeated the Prairie Wolves, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 5) in Sioux Center, Iowa.

November 1

Nebraska Wesleyan rallied back after dropping the first two sets, but they couldn't hold on to the momentum as Doane College held on for a 3-2 victory in an intense GPAC volleyball match between old rivals on Tuesday night (Nov. 1) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

October 29

Dressed in pink uniforms the Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team extended their winning streak to five matches as they took care of Briar Cliff, 3-1, in the annual Dig Pink match for NWU volleyball on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 29) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

October 27

The Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball team will have its annual Dig Pink volleyball match this Saturday (Oct. 29) when the Prairie Wolves host Briar Cliff University in a key GPAC match. The junior varsity match begins at 1:30 pm, with the first serve of the varsity match set for 3 pm at Snyder Arena.

October 26

Katelyn Walsh pounded out a match-high 20 kills and led Nebraska Wesleyan to their fourth straight victory as they won an exciting four-set match over Hastings, 3-1, on Wednesday (Oct. 26) at Lynn Farrell Arena. The Prairie Wolves won in scores of 30-28, 23-25, 26-24, 25-21.

October 25

For the third time this season, Nebraska Wesleyan sophomore setter Caitlin Anderson has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) volleyball player of the week. This time for matches played Oct. 17-23. This is the second straight week that Anderson has earned AD3I Player of the Week recognition.

October 22

Nebraska Wesleyan recorded its biggest conference volleyball victory of the season on Saturday night (Oct. 22) as the Prairie Wolves upset GPAC leader Morningside College, 3-1, on their home court in Sioux City, Iowa. NWU won in scores of 25-23, 21-25, 26-24, 25-23.

October 19

It took longer than planned, but Nebraska Wesleyan finally took control and outlasted Concordia for a 3-2 victory in GPAC volleyball action on Wednesday night (Oct. 19) at Snyder Arena. NWU won in scores of 30-28, 21-25, 21-25, 25-17, 15-9.

October 17

Nebraska Wesleyan sophomore setter Caitlin Anderson has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) volleyball player of the week for matches played Oct. 9-15, as well as the Hauff/Great Plains Athletic Conference Setter-of-the-Week. This is the second time this season that Anderson has earned AD3I Player of the Week recognition.

October 15

Nebraska Wesleyan closed out the NCAA III portion of their volleyball schedule by going 3-1 at the Simpson College Invitational (Oct. 14-15) in Indianola, Iowa.

October 5

Doane College picked up its 20th win of the season and showed why they are one of the top teams in the GPAC as they defeated Nebraska Wesleyan, 3-0, on Wednesday night in conference volleyball action in Crete, Neb.

October 1

Nebraska Wesleyan pounded out 44 kills and held Mount Marty to a .000 hitting percentage as the Prairie Wolves made quick work of the Lancers in three sets winning 25-13, 25-10, 25-16 in GPAC volleyball action on Saturday (Oct. 1) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

September 28

Nebraska Wesleyan made Midland earn the victory in set three but the Warriors finally closed out the match to sweep the Prairie Wolves 3-0 in GPAC volleyball action on Wednesday night (Sept. 28) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln. Midland won in scores of 25-16, 25-18, 31-29.

September 21

Nebraska Wesleyan used a balanced offensive attack to pick up their second straight Great Plains Athletic Conference victory as they went on the road to defeat Concordia University, 3-0, on Wednesday night (Sept. 21) in GPAC volleyball action in Seward.

September 17

It took five sets, but Nebraska Wesleyan earned their first conference victory with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Dordt College in GPAC volleyball action on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 17) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.
