Nebraska Wesleyan jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in set one and had all the momentum, but Hastings rallied back to take set one and the sweep the Prairie Wolves, 3-0, in the home volleyball opener for NWU at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.
Nebraska Wesleyan went 3-1 at the Wartburg Invitational over the weekend (Sept. 9-10) and defeated two nationally-ranked opponents at the two day volleyball invite in Waverly, Iowa.
The Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team received 40 total points to sit just outside the Top 25 of the AVCA Division III Coaches’ preseason Top 25 that was released on Wednesday (Aug. 17). NWU was the second team in the others receiving votes category.
Coming off their highest conference finish, the Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team was selected fourth in the 2011 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Volleyball Preseason Coaches’ poll that was released on Wednesday (Aug. 10). The Prairie Wolves received 66 total points in the poll.
