Nebraska Wesleyan University senior outside hitter Laura Brammeier has been named this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Co-Player-of-the-Week for the week of Aug. 30- Sept. 5. Brammeier shares the award with Kendra Potgeter from Dordt College. She is also the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) volleyball player of the week.
The Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball team got off to a terrific start over the weekend as the Prairie Wolves won all four matches at the Pacific University Invitational in Forest Grove, Ore. NWU went 2-0 on Saturday, then closed the weekend with two sweeps on Sunday to start the year 4-0.
The Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball received 19 total points to sit just outside the Top 25 of the AVCA Division III Coaches’ preseason Top 25 that was released on Thursday (Aug. 19). NWU was the fifth team in the others receiving votes category.
The Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team was selected sixth in the 2010 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Volleyball Preseason Coaches’ poll that was released on Monday (Aug. 9). The Prairie Wolves received 68 total points in the poll.
