Kelsey Elman pounded out 17 kills with a .500 hitting percentage to lead the 19th-ranked Prairie Wolves to an impressive 3-0 sweep over Sioux Falls in GPAC volleyball action on Friday night (Oct. 15) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.

October 13

19th-ranked Nebraska Wesleyan lost its first match of the month as they were upset, 3-2, by Midland University on Wednesday night (Oct. 13) in GPAC volleyball action in Fremont, Neb. The Warriors defeated the Prairie Wolves with scores of 25-22, 16-25, 25-21, 6-25, 15-11.

For the second time this season, Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball player Laura Brammeier is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Player-of-the-Week.

Despite its current five-match winning streak, the Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team remained No. 19 in this week’s AVCA Division III Coaches Poll that was released Tuesday (Oct. 12).

Nebraska Wesleyan built up a six-point lead in the fifth set, then had to survive three match points before Denae Becker slammed down the match-winning kill to give the 19th-ranked Prairie Wolves a 19-17 set five win and a 3-2 victory over Dordt College on Friday night (Oct. 8) in Sioux Center, Iowa.

Nebraska Wesleyan continued their hot start to the season as the 19th-ranked Prairie Wolves made quick work of Concordia University defeating the Bulldogs, 3-0, in GPAC volleyball action on Wednesday night (Oct. 6) in Seward, Neb. NWU won in scores of 25-12, 25-21, 25-13.

Nebraska Wesleyan moved up to its highest ranking of the season this week as they are ranked No. 19 in the AVCA/Division III Coaches Top 25 Poll that was released on Tuesday (Oct. 5).

Nebraska Wesleyan University freshman setter Caitlin Anderson has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player-of-the-Week.

September 29

It took five sets, but Nebraska Wesleyan finally defeated Morningside, 3-2, in Great Plains Athletic Conference volleyball action on Wednesday night (Sept. 29) in front of an enthusiastic home crowd in Snyder Arena. The win was the first for the Prairie Wolves over Morningside since 2004.

Nebraska Wesleyan remained ranked No. 21 in this week’s AVCA/Division III Coaches Top 25 Poll that was released on Tuesday (Sept. 28).

September 26

No. 21 Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball team got back to their winning ways on Sunday afternoon as they swept past Mount Marty College in routine fashion with scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-12. NWU improves to 14-2 overall and 3-1 in GPAC action.

September 22

Doane College swept past Nebraska Wesleyan, 3-0, in the much anticipated volleyball meeting between nationally-ranked conference rivals on Wednesday night (Sept. 22) at Crete, Neb. The Tigers won in scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-17.

With their first loss of the 2010 season, the Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team fell one spot in the AVCA Division III Coaches Top 25 poll that was released Tuesday (Sept. 21). NWU is ranked No. 21 in this week’s coaches poll.

September 18

20th-ranked Nebraska Wesleyan University picked up a pair of victories on the second day of the Luther College Invite on Saturday (Sept. 18) in Decorah, Iowa. NWU defeated Simpson College, 3-1, then swept past Bethel (Minn.), 3-0.

14th-ranked St. Thomas ended Nebraska Wesleyan's 10-match winning streak to start the year as they defeated the 20th-ranked Prairie Wolves, 3-1, on Friday afternoon at the Luther College Invite in Decorah, Iowa. NWU bounced back to win their second match of the night, 3-0, against Northland College.

It took a huge rally, but Nebraska Wesleyan was able to keep their perfect season alive with a 3-2 victory at Hastings College on Tuesday night (Sept. 14) in GPAC Volleyball action.

After their 9-0 start to the season, the Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team made their first appearance in the AVCA/Division III Coaches Top 25 poll that was released on Sept. 14. NWU is tied for 20th in this week's poll.

September 12

For the first time in school history, the Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team is off to a 9-0 start. The nine straight victories to start a season is the best beginning to a season in the history of the NWU volleyball program.

September 10

In as exciting three set match as you can have, Nebraska Wesleyan won a thrilling 3-0 decision over 24th-ranked St. Mary's to end day one of the Wartburg College Tournament on Friday night (Sept. 10). The Prairie Wolves won in scores of 29-27, 25-20, 27-25.

September 7

Nebraska Wesleyan remained perfect on the season as they opened Great Plains Athletic Conference play with a 3-0 sweep over Midland Lutheran College in the 2010 home opener for the Prairie Wolves on Tuesday (Sept. 7) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln. NWU won in scores of 25-13, 25-15, 27-25.
