December 7

The Nebraska Wesleyan Volleyball Team received plenty of recognition for its outstanding season as the Prairie Wolves were well represented on the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) All-Independent volleyball team that was recently announced.

November 24

The Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team finished the 2009 season ranked No. 23 in the final AVCA Division III Coaches Top 25 poll that was released on Nov. 24.

November 18

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 29th annual AVCA All-America teams for NCAA Division III volleyball, and two Nebraska Wesleyan University players were selected to the team.  Junior outside hitter Laura Brammeier was named to the All-America Second-Team, while senior middle blocker Elise Schmid received honorable mention All-American recognition.

November 18

Four members of the Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team were named to the 2009 Great Plains Athletic Conference Volleyball All-Conference team that was announced Wednesday (Nov. 18).  Junior Laura Brammeier was the top honoree for NWU as she earned All-GPAC First Team honors.  Sophomore setter Ashley Jedlicka was named to the All-GPAC Second Team while seniors Brittny Barber and Elise Schmid were honorable mention All-GPAC selections.

November 13

8th-ranked Carthage College ended the 2009 volleyball season for Nebraska Wesleyan University as they defeated the Prairie Wolves, 3-0, in the NCAA III Central Region Semifinals on Friday (Nov. 13) in St. Louis, Mo.  The Lady Reds won with scores of 25-13, 28-26, 25-19.

Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball players Laura Brammeier and Elise Schmid were both named to the 2009 AVCA/Division III Central Region All-Region Team when the teams were announced (Nov. 13).

November 12

For the second straight season, the Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III National Tournament as they defeated the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, 3-1, in the first round of the Central Region Tournament held Thursday afternoon (Nov. 12) in St. Louis, Mo.

November 9

The NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Committee announced its field of 62 teams for the 2009 NCAA Division III Volleyball Championships Monday (Nov. 9), and for the sixth straight season the Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team was selected to the tournament.

November 6

The Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team completed their 2009 regular season, and they now are awaiting the announcement of the NCAA Division IIII National Tournament selection to see if they receive an invitation to their sixth straight tournament.

November 3

The Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team fell to No. 22 in this week’s AVCA/Division III Coaches Top 25 poll that was released on Tuesday (Nov. 3).  The Prairie Wolves were ranked No. 20 for the past two weeks.

October 31

Nebraska Wesleyan gave the large pink clad home crowd something to cheer about early as they won the first set, but Briar Cliff ruined the Prairie Wolves Dig Pink Event as they rallied to defeat NWU, 3-1, in Great Plains Athletic Conference volleyball play Saturday afternoon (Oct. 31) in Snyder Arena.  The Charges won the match in scores of 15-25, 25-14, 27-25, 25-16.

18th-ranked Morningside College wasted little time in defeating Nebraska Wesleyan as they downed the Prairie Wolves 3-0 in Great Plains Athletic Conference volleyball action on Friday night (Oct.

The NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Committee has released the second regional rankings of the season and Nebraska Wesleyan University is ranked No. 2 in the Central Region for the second straight week.

The Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team remained ranked No. 20 for the second consecutive week in the AVCA/Division III Coaches Top 25 poll that was released on Tuesday (Oct. 27).

October 23

20th-ranked Nebraska Wesleyan won set two over Doane College, but the Tigers controlled the other three sets as they held off NWU, 3-1, in a Great Plains Athletic Conference volleyball rivalry match on Friday night (Oct. 23) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.  Doane won with scores of 25-17, 16-25, 25-15, 25-19.

The NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Committee has released the first regional rankings of the season and Nebraska Wesleyan University is ranked No. 2 in the Central Region.

Kelsey Elman had 14 kills and no attack errors to lead 20th-ranked Nebraska Wesleyan to a 3-0 sweep over Concordia in a Great Plains Athletic Conference volleyball match on Wednesday night (Oct. 21) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

Nebraska Wesleyan moved up to No. 20 in this week's AVCA Division III Coaches Top 25 Poll that was released on Oct. 20.  The Prairie Wolves were ranked No. 21 in last week's poll.  It marks the fifth straight week that NWU has been ranked.
