Nebraska Wesleyan junior volleyball player Mackenzie Hite was named to the 2012 AVCA/Division III Central Region 1st-Team All-Region Team when the honors were announced (Nov. 8). Hite was one of 14 players selected to the All-Region Team.

Hite (Grant, Neb.) led the team in digs with 541 on the season. In NCAA Division III matches she averaged 6.41 digs per set to rank fourth in the country in digs per set. Hite now has 1,255 career digs to rank 10th all-time at Nebraska Wesleyan.

This season, Hite was named to the All-Tournament team at two different tournaments against NCAA III competition and was selected as the Association of Independents (AD3I) Player-of-the-Year.

She is the 15th player in NWU volleyball history to earn AVCA All-Region recognition.

Nebraska Wesleyan finished the 2012 season with a 13-15 overall record in their first season under head coach Rayna Cain.
