NWU Volleyball Ranked #22 in Final AVCA Poll

The Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team finished the 2010 season ranked No. 22 in the final AVCA Division III Coaches Top 25 that was recently released.

The final ranking marks the second straight season that NWU has finished the season in the final Top 25. It is the sixth time in school history that a NWU volleyball team ended the season ranked in the final AVCA poll. Last season, the Prairie Wolves finished the 2009 campaign ranked #23.

Nebraska Wesleyan ended the 2010 season with a 23-6 overall record. The Prairie Wolves qualified for their seventh straight NCAA III National Tournament, and had there highest ever finish in the Great Plains Athletic Conference standings. The 23 victories were the most for a NWU volleyball team since the 1998 season.

Calvin College ended the season ranked #1 after winning the NCAA III Tournament Championship.
