May 9

Nebraska Wesleyan University placed seven members of the softball team on the 2013 Great Plains Athletic Conference Softball All-Conference team that was announced Thursday (May 9).  NWU senior Megan Tieken was named to the All-GPAC First-Team as an infielder to highlight the Nebraska Wesleyan selections.

May 7

Nebraska Wesleyan University senior softball player Megan Tieken has been honored as a CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 selection in the NAIA College division. It is the second straight season Tieken was named Academic All-District.

May 3

Nebraska Wesleyan scored three runs in the top of the 6th inning to take a one run lead over Doane College but the Tigers responded with three runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to rally and defeat the Prairie Wolves, 5-3, at the GPAC Softball Tournament Friday (May 3) at the SYA Complex in Sioux City, Iowa.

May 2

Nebraska Wesleyan pounded out 12 hits and 10 runs as the Prairie Wolves defeated Dakota Wesleyan 10-2 in six innings in an elimination game on Thursday night (May 2) at the GPAC Softball Tournament in Sioux City.  Earlier in the day, NWU dropped a 10-7 decision to Northwestern.

May 1

Nebraska Wesleyan is the No. 6 seed for the 2013 GPAC Postseason Softball Championships that will be held May 2-4 at the SYA Softball Complex in Sioux City, Iowa.  The Prairie Wolves will meet the No. 3 seed, Northwestern College in the opening game Thursday now starting at 4:00 pm.

April 30

Nebraska Wesleyan scored two runs in the top of the 7th inning then held off a late inning rally with the tying run in the bottom of the 7th inning as the Prairie Wolves defeated Concordia, 7-6, in the 2013 regular season finale of GPAC softball on Tuesday (Apr. 30) in Seward.
Concordia won the first game of the doubleheader, 5-1.

April 27

Nebraska Wesleyan evened up its conference record at 8-8 as the Prairie Wolves easily swept Dordt College in a GPAC softball doubleheader on Saturday afternoon (Apr 27) in the final home games of the year at University Place Park in Lincoln.  NWU won game one, 6-0, then downed the Defenders 12-2 in five innings in game two.

April 24

Nebraska Wesleyan pounded out 11 hits and dominated Peru State, 11-3, ending the game with the run rule in five innings in game one of a softball doubleheader on Wednesday (Apr. 24) at University Place Park in Lincoln.  Peru State came back to take the second game of the doubleheader, 8-5.

April 22

Monday's (Apr. 22) Nebraska Wesleyan University softball home doubleheader against Peru State College has been rained out.  The games will now be played this Wednesday, April 24 at University Place Park in Lincoln. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 5 pm.

April 20

Nebraska Wesleyan handed Morningside College just their second loss in conference play and the Prairie Wolves were just one out away from completing a sweep as NWU won game one, 3-2, but dropped the second game, 4-3, in a GPAC softball doubleheader on Saturday (Apr. 20) at University Place Park in Lincoln.

April 17

Wednesday's  (Apr. 17) Great Plains Athletic Conference softball doubleheader between Nebraska Wesleyan and Concordia University to be played in Seward, Neb., has been postponed due to the weather.  No makeup date has been announced.

April 14

Taylor Erlenbusch struck out 11 Nebraska Wesleyan batters as Hastings College won game two of a GPAC softball doubleheader, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon (Apr. 14) at University Place Park in Lincoln.  Hastings also won the opening game, 4-2.

April 12

Changes have been made to the Nebraska Wesleyan softball schedule for the upcoming weekend.  The doubleheader at Mount Marty College on Saturday (4/13) in Yankton, S.D., has been postponed.

April 10

Nebraska Wesleyan junior softball player Becky Bomberger has been named the Association of Division III Independents softball Player-of-the-Week.

April 7

Nebraska Wesleyan swept Dakota Wesleyan in GPAC softball action on Sunday (Apr. 7) with a pair of 6-3 victories at University Place Park in Lincoln.

April 3

Nebraska Wesleyan opened GPAC softball action on Wednesday afternoon (Apr. 3) by splitting games with rival Doane College in Crete, Neb.  NWU took the first game, 2-1, then the Tigers got a 3-run walkoff home run in the bottom of the seventh to take the second game 9-6.

March 28

Nebraska Wesleyan took advantage of three York College errors and 10 walks by York pitchers as the Prairie Wolves were able to come away with a 7-4 victory over the Panthers in game two of a NAIA softball doubleheader on Thursday night (Mar. 28) at University Place Park in Lincoln, Neb.  York won the first game, 4-3.

March 20

Kansas Wesleyan used back-to-back errors in extra innings to score the game-winning run in the bottom of the 8th inning as the Coyotes defeated Nebraska Wesleyan, 6-5, in game two of a softball doubleheader on Wednesday (Mar. 20) in Salina, Kan. KWU also took the opening game, 14-6 in five innings.

This week's Nebraska Wesleyan softball games that were scheduled against Stephens College and Harris-Stowe State College in Missouri have both been cancelled due to poor field conditions.

The Nebraska Wesleyan University softball team opened the 2013 season by going 2-1 at the McPherson College Tournament on Friday (Mar. 8).
