NWU Recognizes Softball Player for Academics

Nebraska Wesleyan University softball player Kaley David (Jr., Holdrege, Neb., Holdrege High School) was recently recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) as a Scholar Athlete for 2005.

Kaley DavidDavid, who plays first base for the Prairie Wolves, led the team in batting average (.314), slugging percentage (.486), home runs (3) and put outs (179) last season. She has a 3.73 cumulative GPA and majors in exercise science and wellness.

The NFCA Scholar-Athlete award is given to student-athletes who achieve a 3.5 or better GPA on a 4.0 scale.
