Nebraska Wesleyan Names Softball Recruits

Nebraska Wesleyan University head softball coach Lance Kingery has announced the names of 18 recruits who plan to attend NWU and play softball for the Prairie Wolves during the 2009 season.

The recruiting class includes 14 first-year students and four transfers. Among the group are 1st-Team All-State and Super State selection Dani Bryant from Class A State Runner-up Lincoln Southwest H.S., and Class C All-State selection Allison Brandt from Milford High School. Also Jenna Turner comes to NWU from NCAA II Augustana (S.D.) College where she was a starter in the outfield last season.

Nebraska Wesleyan finished the 2008 season with a 22-16 overall record, but missed qualifying for the NCAA III Championships. The Prairie Wolves did climb up to No. 5 in the NCAA Regional rankings, which was the highest in school history.
