2007 Season Wrap-up
The Nebraska Wesleyan women’s soccer team finished their season with a 7-8-3 overall record, including 6-4-2 in the GPAC which was good enough for an eighth place ranking. The women flourished offensively, outscoring opponents 44-22, including a staggering 26-8 goal differential in the second half.
Leading the Prairie Wolves was senior midfielder Brooke Woodward who found the back of the net ten times during the season. Woodward also led the team in assists with five. Right behind her was freshman midfielder Alison Frohn and senior wing player Liz Baltzell who chipped in eight and seven goals, respectively. In the goal, senior goalkepper Jessica Cain accumulated 67 saves while freshman goalie Sara Perdew added 19 of her own.
Junior defender Wendy Soenksen was named First-Team GPAC while Woodward garnered second-team honors. Baltzell was named honorable mention.
