Jane Hoops returns in 2007 for her second season as head coach of the Nebraska Wesleyan women’s soccer team. In her first season as head coach, Jane Hoops led the Prairie Wolves to their second consecutive Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) regular season title and an overall record of 13-3-2.

In addition to her three seasons as a player for the Prairie Wolves, she served as an assistant coach in charge of goalkeepers during the 2005 season when NWU won the league crown and finished 13-3-1.

After spending one year at Hamline University, Hoops transferred to Nebraska Wesleyan in 2001 and went on to become one of the most prolific goalkeepers in team history. She was a three-time All-Conference performer, including her senior season when she shared GPAC Player of the Year honors.

Hoops finished her career ranked second and third on the NWU all-time charts for saves (399) and shutouts (17), respectively. For her efforts on the field and in the classroom, she was also named to the Academic All-America® First Team as selected by CoSIDA in 2003.

In addition, Hoops has earned her NSCAA Regional Diploma, has her USSF “E” License and has completed the first two levels at the NSCAA’s Goalkeeping Institute. In high school, Hoops attended Lincoln Northeast, where she earned All-State honors in soccer and was a four-year letter winner in both soccer and basketball for the Rockets.

Hoops received her undergraduate degree in history-social science education from Nebraska Wesleyan in December 2004.

After four years as a player for the Nebraska Wesleyan women’s soccer team, Stephanie Anderson returns in 2007 as an assistant coach.

During her career, Anderson started 69 of 73 matches and never missed a game in her four seasons. She helped her team achieve an overall record of 50-18-5 (.719) as a player, including back-to-back GPAC regular season titles in 2005 and 2006. In addition, she helped NWU extend its unbeaten streak at home to 26 matches (23-0-3 since Oct. 11, 2003), which ranked as the second longest active streak in NCAA Division III.

Individually, the former forward ranks ninth all-time in career goals (32), was a two-time All-GPAC Second Team performer and earned four letters for the Prairie Wolves. As a senior, she was named the team’s Offensive MVP and she shared team MVP honors with teammate Lindsay Priefert.
