NWU Women Place Sixth at Grand View Spring Classic
Final Results
Des Moines, Iowa – The Nebraska Wesleyan University women's golf team shot a two-day total of 738 (364-374) to place sixth at the Grand View College Spring Viking Classic on April 6-7 at Des Moines, Iowa. Eleven teams competed in the two-day tournament. Dakota Wesleyan University won the team title by 16 strokes with a final score of 666.
Amber Edwards was the top individual placer for the Prairie Wolves. Edwards shot a total of 176 (88-88) to just miss the top 10 with an 11th place finish. Sarah Hannon also finished in the top 15 as she shot a score of 180 (93-87) to tie for 15th place.
Also competing for the Prairie Wolves at the Grand View Classic were Joslin Roach (181, 17th), Caitlin Bennett (202, T-38th) and Heidi Dammast (297, 45th).
Abby Wheeling from Dakota Wesleyan was the individual medalist with a two-day total of 154.
The Nebraska Wesleyan women will return to Lincoln to host the NWU Spring Invitational on April 13-14. Day one will be played on Sunday at Highlands Golf Course, with the final round taking place Monday at Mahoney Golf Course.
