Thomsen named AVCA All-American
Lincoln, Neb.—Nebraska Wesleyan’s senior libero Linsey Thomsen has been named to the NCAA Division III/AVCA All-America Third Team. Thomsen makes the fifth volleyball player from NWU to be named to the AVCA All-America Team. The last NWU volleyball player to make the AVCA All-America team was Lindsey Fuller in 2002.

She ranked in the top five in digs per game in Division III this season, averaging 7.82 digs per game. She helped lead the Prairie Wolves to a 17-10 record and a trip to the NCAA III Championships.
Thomsen also was named First Team All-GPAC for the second consecutive year and was a Division III Player-of-The-Week earlier this season. Thomsen racked up 837 digs on the season, breaking her own record for single-season digs, which she set at 806 digs last year.

Last season, Thomsen was a first-team DIII All-Independent selection and was Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Libero of the Week twice. She also received first-team honors from the GPAC and the Omaha World Herald.
Thomsen, an accounting major from Beatrice, Neb., is the daughter of Ken Thomsen and Dottie Thomsen.
