MEDIA REMINDER: Nebraska Wesleyan University does
not give athletic scholarships or sign national letters of intent.
In 2006, the Nebraska Wesleyan men went 16-13 and
shared the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) regular season
title. The men went on to win the GPAC Tournament and the NAIA Region
III Tournament in order to qualify for the NAIA Championships.
The NWU women finished 16-11 and swept both the
GPAC regular season and tournament crowns before claiming runner-up
honors at the Region III tourney.
The Prairie Wolves return nearly everyone this fall;
the NWU women had just two seniors in 2006, while the men had none.
Harley was named Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men’s Tennis
Coach of the Year and shared the honor for the women.
