2011: Earned his first All-Conference award by placing eighth at the GPAC Indoor Championships in the 5,000 … set personal bests in all three of his indoor events … added two more All-Conference awards during the outdoor season … was fourth in the 10,000 and sixth in the 5,000 at the GPAC Outdoor Championships … named a Pflieger-Olson Scholar Athlete.
2010: Qualified and competed in the 10,000 meters at the GPAC Outdoor Championships … placed 12th in the event … ran a season-best time of 33:46.18 in the 10,000 at the Dick Young Invitational.
Academic: Accounting major.
In High School: Was a three sport varsity athlete competing in cross country, swimming and soccer … placed fifth at the Class A State Cross Country Championships as a senior … was named Super-State in cross country … also a state qualifier in swimming and was honorable mention All-State in soccer.
Personal: Born 12/31/90, son of Kris and Mary Rutford … also a member of the NWU cross country team after competing in soccer as a freshman.
