The Nebraska Wesleyan track & field team will host the NWU Invitational this Friday (Jan. 22) at the Indoor Track in the Bob Devaney Sports Center on the campus of the University of Nebraska. Field events will begin at 1 p.m., with the first track event slated to start at 2 p.m.
Over 13 teams and 979 athletes are entered into Friday's meet. Teams range from NCAA Division I down to junior colleges. The University of Nebraska and Air Force will have athletes competing, along with NCAA II Northwest Missouri State. Including NWU, six other Great Plains Athletic Conference schools will be attending. Other schools involved are Dakota State, Baker and William Penn.
Unseeded athletes in the throws and pole vault will be competing at Knight Fieldhouse on the Nebraska Wesleyan campus with the rest of the events taking place at the Devaney Center.
