Derek Carson and Matt Glasnapp each earned three All-American awards as they led the Nebraska Wesleyan University men's track team to a tie for 11th place at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Marietta, Ohio. NWU scored 19 team points to tie for 11th.

Both Carson and Glasnapp teamed up with Dan Bittner and Andy Coppersmith to place as national runner-up in the 4x100 relay with a time of 40.89. The University of St. Thomas won the event with a time of 40.76.
In the 4x400 relay, Carson and Glasnapp joined Coppersmith and Josh Wall to place third in that event with a time of 3:12.55. St. Thomas also won that event in a time of 3:10.6.
Glasnapp had his best time of his career in the 200 meter dash final where he ran a 21.52 to place fifth overall. His time of 21.52 is the fourth best time in NWU history.
Carson placed eighth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.97. His preliminary time of 48.00 was the fifth best time in school history.
Carson and Glasnapp become just the sixth and seventh individuals in school history to earn three All-American honors at one meet.
Other men competing for NWU were Ryan Petersen in the pole vault and Dylan Aylward in the javelin. Petersen just missed All-American honors by placing ninth with a height of 15-7 1/4. Aylward was 11th in the javelin with a throw of 189-0.
For the NWU women, Anne Kersenbrock competed in the long jump and Amanda Brichacek participated in the hammer throw. Kersenbrock had a jump of 17-5, but missed the finals while Brichacek had a mark of 156-2 to place 14th.
