NWU Track & Field Moves into Top 10 of NCAA III Poll

The Nebraska Wesleyan men’s and women’s track & field teams both entered the top 10 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country (USTFCCCA)/ NCAA Division III National Team rankings were released on Wednesday (April 27). The NWU women are ranked No. 6 in NCAA III, while the men are ranked No. 8.

NWU women moved up 24 spots this week to climb into the top 10 after being ranked 30th last week, while the men made the jump up 14 spots to No. 8 in the poll.

In the regional rankings, the Nebraska Wesleyan men are ranked second in the Central Region behind Central College and the Prairie Wolves women are ranked third in the Central Region.

McMurry is ranked No. 1 in the men’s poll, while Wartburg is No. 1 in the women’s top 25. This was the fourth week of the regional and national rankings for Outdoor Track & Field.

Nebraska Wesleyan is coming off winning team titles at the Prairie Wolf Invitational last Friday (April 22) at Woody Greeno Track. The Prairie Wolves will have athletes competing at the Drake Relays, the Hastings Invite and the Nebraska Open this weekend.

Five NWU men are in the National Top 10 in their respective events, while seven Nebraska Wesleyan women appear in the top 10 among NCAA III women’s competitors.
