The Nebraska Wesleyan University men’s track & field team climbed up five spots and now appears in the Top 10 of the USTFCCCA NCAA Division III National Team Rankings that were released Wednesday (Feb. 16). NWU is now ranked No. 8 in this week’s poll. The Nebraska Wesleyan women are ranked No. 21 this week.
In the regional rankings, the Nebraska Wesleyan men remain first in the Central Region and the Prairie Wolves women are ranked second behind Wartburg College in the Central Region.
North Central (Ill.) is ranked No. 1 in the men’s poll, while Wisconsin-Oshkosh is No. 1 in the women’s top 25. This was the fourth poll released this season.
Nebraska Wesleyan is coming off a successful weekend at the Darren Young Classic in Grinnell, Iowa. The NWU women blew away the competition to win the team title, while the men were the team runner-up.
This weekend the Prairie Wolves track teams will be competing at the GPAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. The NWU men have won 20 Conference Indoor team championships with their last one coming during the 2006 season.
