Nebraska Wesleyan senior men’s tennis player Nate Hoppe concluded his career by being named to the 2012 Great Plains Athletic Conference men’s tennis All-Conference team. Hoppe was All-GPAC in both singles and doubles play.

The Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis team saw its 2012 season come to an end with a 5-2 loss to Hastings College in the GPAC Tournament Semifinals on Friday (May 4) in Fremont, Neb.

Nebraska Wesleyan University swept this week’s Great Plains Athletic Conference tennis honors as senior Nate Hoppe and junior Erica Dickmeyer were named the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Tennis Players-of-the-Week for the week of March 26-April 1.

For the first time since Doane re-started its tennis program in 1991, the Tigers defeated Nebraska Wesleyan University in a men's tennis dual. Doane won the match, 7-2, on Wednesday at the Haddix Center Tennis Courts in Crete, Neb.

Defending Great Plains Athletic Conference tennis champions, the Nebraska Wesleyan men and women, both opened the 2012 GPAC season with convincing 9-0 victories over Midland University on Tuesday (Mar. 28) at the Nebraska Tennis Center in Lincoln.

March 23

The Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis team ended their annual spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C., with a 5-4 victory over Concordia University (Wis.) on Friday (Mar. 23). It was the first victory of the season for the Prairie Wolves men.

March 3

The Nebraska Wesleyan women's tennis team picked up its second win of the season with a 7-2 victory over Westminster College, while the NWU men remain winless as they lost to Westminster, 8-1, on Saturday in Kansas City, Mo. The Prairie Wolves and Bluejays played the matches at the Plaza Tennis Center in Kansas City.

February 11

The Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis team fell to 0-4 to start the season as they lost a pair of matches on Saturday (Feb. 11) at Knight Fieldhouse in Lincoln. Central College defeated NWU, 8-1, in the first match then the Prairie Wolves fell to William Jewell College, 7-2.

August 4

Nebraska Wesleyan University head tennis coach Dr. Rick Harley has released the names of seven student-athletes who intend to play tennis and study at Nebraska Wesleyan during the 2011-12 school year. The list includes four women and three men recruits.
