May 12

The Nebraska Wesleyan men’s tennis team took home all the major awards when the 2011 GPAC Men’s Tennis All-Conference teams were announced. Senior Jamie Holmes and junior Nate Hoppe joined Concordia player Jonathan Schleicher as the GPAC co-Player’s-of-the-Year. Rick Harley was named the GPAC Men’s Tennis Coach of the Year.

May 4

Nebraska Wesleyan swept the Great Plains Athletic Conference Tennis weekly honors as Chelsea Henslee and Jamie Holmes were named the Hauff Mid America Sports/GPAC Tennis Player’s of the Week. It is the second time this season that both Henslee and Holmes each won GPAC Player of the Week Honors.

April 30

Both Nebraska Wesleyan University men's and women's tennis teams clinched the 2011 Great Plains Athletic Conference regular season tennis championships on Saturday morning (Apr. 30) with 8-1 victories over Sioux Falls at Nebraska Tennis Center in Lincoln, Neb.

April 28

Nebraska Wesleyan junior Nate Hoppe was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week for the week of April 18-24.

April 20

Both Nebraska Wesleyan men's and women's tennis teams kept their perfect GPAC records alive as they remained unbeaten in conference play with a sweep over Concordia on Wednesday (Apr. 20) at the Nebraska Tennis Center in Lincoln. NWU men won 7-2, while the women were 8-1 winners.

April 20

Nebraska Wesleyan University senior Jamie Holmes has been named this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Tennis Player-of-the-Week for the week of April 11-17.

April 9

Nebraska Wesleyan rolled through their competition on Saturday (Apr. 9) as the Prairie Wolves women blanked both Briar Cliff and Northwestern, 9-0, 9-0 and the NWU men shutout Briar Cliff 9-0 in Sioux City, Iowa.

April 7

The tennis dual between Nebraska Wesleyan and Doane College that was scheduled for Thursday (April 7) has been postponed until next Tuesday (April 12) due to the rainy weather.  The match will still be played at 4:00 pm at the Nebraska Tennis Center.

March 31

Competing with just four player, Midland University was no match for the Nebraska Wesleyan University men's tennis team as the Prairie Wolves rolled to a 9-0 win over the Warriors on Wednesday (Mar. 30) in Fremont, Neb.

January 29

The Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis team opened the 2011 season by splitting two matches on Saturday (Jan. 29) in Pella, Iowa. The Prairie Wolves defeated Central College, 5-4, in the first match of the day, then fell 7-2 to Augustana (Ill.) College in match two.

November 8

Nebraska Wesleyan University tennis coach Dr. Rick Harley was inducted into the Nebraska Tennis Association Hall of Fame at the 29th Annual Banquet that was held Sunday (Nov. 7) in Omaha, Neb.
