The Nebraska Wesleyan men’s tennis team had every one of its players receive All-Conference honors when the Great Plains Athletic Conference men’s tennis teams were announced. In addition, head coach Dr. Rick Harley was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men’s Tennis Coach-of-the-Year.

May 12

The Nebraska Wesleyan tennis teams were both shutout in the opening round of the NAIA National Tennis Tournament on Tuesday (May 12) in Mobile, Ala. The NWU men lost to Graceland, 9-0, while the NWU women fell 8-0 to Vanguard in a match that was called early due to a threat of lightning.

May 2

It was a special day on Saturday (May 2) for the Nebraska Wesleyan University tennis program as both the men's and women's tennis teams won the 2009 Great Plains Athletic Conference Tournament Championships and earned bids to the 2009 NAIA National Championships. The Prairie Wolf men defeated Sioux Falls, 5-1 to earn the automatic bid, while the women had a thrilling 5-4 win over Sioux Falls to punch their ticket to the Championships.

The Nebraska Wesleyan University tennis teams had their second straight shutout victory during the Great Plains Athletic Conference season as the Prairie Wolves blanked Doane College, 9-0, in both the men's and women's tennis duals.

March 26

Nebraska Wesleyan made its presence known in the first week of Great Plains Athletic Conference honors as a pair of Prairie Wolves were named Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Tennis Players-of-the-Week. Nathan Hoppe was the men's winner and Mikaela Caudill won the women's honor.

The Nebraska Wesleyan University tennis teams made quick work of Midland Lutheran College in the Great Plains Athletic Conference season opener as both the men and women both shutout the Warriors, 9-0, on Wednesday in Fremont, Neb.
