Nebraska Wesleyan junior Nate Hoppe was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week for the week of April 18-24.
Hoppe (Lincoln, Neb.) won his No. 2 singles match and No. 1 doubles match over Concordia to keep Nebraska Wesleyan undefeated in conference action this season and clinch at least a share of the GPAC regular season title.
Hoppe is now 6-0 at #2 singles and 5-1 at #1 doubles in GPAC action this season. Overall he is 12-7 in singles play as a senior and now has 36 career singles victories.
Nebraska Wesleyan is 9-10 overall and 6-0 in GPAC play. They host the University of Sioux Falls this Saturday morning (Apr. 30) with the GPAC regular season title on the line. The match begins at 11 am at the Nebraska Tennis Center.
