Midland University scored four goals in a ten minute span of the first half to shock the Nebraska Wesleyan soccer team as the Warriors then held on for a 5-1 victory in GPAC men's soccer action on Wednesday (Sept. 26) at Abel Stadium.
Midland improves to 4-3-2, 2-0 in GPAC while NWU falls to 4-4-1, 1-1 in conference play.
Alan Craig scored the first goal of the match for the Warriors in the 23rd minute to put Midland up 1-0.
Up next would be the Adam Wood show as he scored a hat trick with three straight goals within a four minute period. Wood scored at 29:44, 30:20 and again at 33:03 and left the Prairie Wolves staring at a 4-0 deficit.
NWU got on the board right away in the second period as Colby Twist got his seventh goal of the season on a penalty kick. The momentum tried to remain on the Prairie Wolves side, but they couldn't get any offense going.
Midland added another late goal to seal the victory.
The Warriors finished with 20 total shots, 12 shots on goal while NWU had just three total shots.
