Nebraska Wesleyan junior soccer player Kyle Jisa has been named this week’s Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) men’s soccer Player-of-the-Week.
Jisa (Lincoln, Neb.) had game-winning goals in both matches on the week as Nebraska Wesleyan went 2-0 and extended their winning streak to three games. In the win over Simpson College on Sept. 12 he scored in the first overtime period for the 3-2 victory.
In the home opener against Coe College on Sept. 16, Jisa got a goal from 18-yards out to break a 0-0 tie that propelled the Prairie Wolves to the 3-0 win.
After missing all of last season with injury, Jisa has scored three goals already in 2012 recording one goal in each of the last three victories.
Nebraska Wesleyan (3-2-1) will take its three game winning streak back on the road this weekend for a pair of matches. NWU opens GPAC play with a match at Northwestern College on Saturday, then takes on Carleton College on Sunday in a non conference match.
