Fullerton Scores Hat Trick to Lead NWU Men To Win

October 21, 2009

Brad Fullerton scored three goals to earn a hat trick and lead Nebraska Wesleyan University to a 4-1 victory over Concordia University on a rain-soaked Abel Stadium on Wednesday night (Oct. 21) in Lincoln, Neb.

The win improves the Prairie Wolves to 6-6-4 overall and 3-5-2 in the GPAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 3-12-1 and 1-8-1.

It was not a good start to the match for NWU as Concordia scored a goal in the first minute of the match as Raul Lopez put the Bulldogs up 1-0.

NWU tied the match at 1-1 when Fullerton scored the first of his three goals of the night in the 29th minute.  The Prairie Wolves made a mad dash right before halftime as they would add two more goals in the final five minutes of the half.  Sean Norris scored off a free kick and Fullerton scored on an assist from Norris.

The final goal of the match was in the 59th minute when Fullerton sealed the victory for NWU.
