NWU Sweeps GPAC Soccer Honors

The Nebraska Wesleyan University men's soccer team swept the GPAC Player-of-the-Week honors for the week of Oct. 6-12. Freshman Jordan Green was the Offensive Player-of-the-Week and junior Josh Miller was the Defensive Player-of-the-Week.

This is the second straight week that Green has earned the offensive player of the week honors.

 

Green (Lincoln, Neb.) scored the game winning goals in both victories for the Prairie Wolves on the week. He had three total goals in the wins over Midland Lutheran and Colorado College. Green has now scored a goal in six straight matches.

 

Josh Miller

Miller (Rapid City, S.D.) posted two shutouts on the week as Nebraska Wesleyan went 2-0.  He recorded two saves against Midland Lutheran College and six against Colorado College.  Miller has now recorded four straight shutouts,

and five in the last six matches. He also was named the AD3I Player-of-the Week this week.

NWU has now won six straight matches to make their overall record 7-5. The Prairie Wolves return to GPAC action on Wednesday (Oct. 15) when they travel to Crete, Neb., to face GPAC rival Doane College.
