October 25, 2008

Nebraska Wesleyan men's soccer remains on a roll as they picked up their 10th win in a row on Saturday night (Oct. 25) defeating Dordt College, 3-0, in GPAC men's soccer action.

The Prairie Wolves are now 11-5 overall and 8-2 in the GPAC with their last coming on Sept. 23 with a 1-0 loss to Dana.

It was another solid defensive effort for NWU as they posted yet another shut out. Goalkeeper Josh Miller had three saves and another shutout as he has not allowed a goal in GPAC action since Sept. 23.

Brad Fullerton got the Wolves on the board in the first half when he scored at the 20:12 mark on an assist from Chris Velez. It was the fifth goal in three games for Fullerton.

The game was 1-0 at half, but NWU added two more goals in the second half. Jordan Green scored in the 72nd minute and Chris Velez added a goal in the 80th minute.

Nebraska Wesleyan will now prepare for its home finale and a showdown with GPAC leading and undefeated Hastings College on Wednesday night at Abel Stadium. The game was originally scheduled for Oct. 28th, but was moved back one day.
