Four Nebraska Wesleyan University men’s soccer players were named to the Association of Division III Independents All-Independent teams that were announced on Friday (Dec. 12). Freshman Jordan Green was named to the First-Team, junior Josh Miller earned Second-Team honors, while Brad Fullerton and Jess Pieper received honorable mention recognition.
Green (Lincoln, Neb.) was the top scorer for the Prairie Wolves with 15 goals and 34 points. He was named AD3I Player of the Week twice during the season. He also was named the Co-Offensive Player of the Year in the GPAC.
Miller (Rapid City, S.D.) allowed only 0.86 goals per game on his way to posting nine shutouts on the season. He had five straight shutouts during NWU’s 10-game winning streak. He also earned AD3I Player of the Week honors twice this season.
Fullerton (Lincoln, Neb.) finished the season second on the team in goals scored with seven. He also earned Second-Team All-GPAC honors. Pieper (Lincoln, Neb.) was a main reason for the success of the NWU defensive effort on the season. Pieper earned First-Team All-GPAC honors.
Nebraska Wesleyan finished the 2008 season with a 12-6 overall record. The Prairie Wolves finished 9-3 in the GPAC to finish as runner-up for the second straight season.
