Nebraska Wesleyan senior goalkeeper Josh Miller was named the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) Men’s Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Year and to the All-Independent First-Team.

Three members of the Nebraska Wesleyan University men’s soccer team were named to the 2009 Great Plains Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer All-Conference that was announced Tuesday (Nov. 9).  Senior goalkeeper Josh Miller and junior midfielder Brad Fullerton were named to the All-GPAC Second-Team, while senior defender Jess Pieper received All-GPAC honorable mention recognition.

Midland Lutheran scored a goal midway through the second half and that would prove to be the only goal of the match as the Warriors held off Nebraska Wesleyan, 1-0, in a Great Plains Athletic Conference men's soccer match on Wednesday night (Oct. 7) at Abel Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.

Cole McCallum scored two goals to lead the Nebraska Wesleyan University men's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Briar Cliff University in Great Plains Athletic Conference men's soccer action on Saturday night (Oct. 3) at Abel Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.

The victory was the first GPAC win of the season for Nebraska Wesleyan as they improve to 4-3-4 overall and 1-2-2 in the GPAC. It was just the second conference loss for Briar Cliff as they fall to 3-2 in the GPAC, 6-3 overall.

McCallum got NWU on the board early as he scored on a beautiful header from a throw in to put the Prairie Wolves up 1-0 at halftime. He added a second goal during the 50th minute off a rebound to give NWU a 2-0 lead.

20th-ranked Hastings College held Nebraska Wesleyan to just one shot on goal as the Broncos defeated the Prairie Wolves, 3-0, in Great Plains Athletic Conference men's soccer action on Tuesday night (Sept. 29) in Hastings, Neb.

Nebraska Wesleyan jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first ten minutes of the match, but Dana College answered with two goals of their own to tie the match at 2-2.

The Nebraska Wesleyan University men's soccer team opened Great Plains Athletic Conference play on Saturday night (Sept. 19) as they hosted the University of Sioux Falls. The well played match ended with neither team scoring as the game ended in a 0-0 tie in double overtime.

Central College scored during the sixth minute of overtime to defeat Nebraska Wesleyan, 1-0, and give the Prairie Wolves their first loss of the season in a NCAA Division III men's soccer match on Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 15) in Pella, Iowa.

Cole McCallum scored in the 84th minute to tie the match at 1-1, and no goals were scored the rest of the match as Nebraska Wesleyan University and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh tied, 1-1, in a NCAA III men's soccer match on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 5) at Abel Stadium.

The Nebraska Wesleyan University men's soccer team picked up their first win of the season on Thursday night (Sept. 5) when they blanked Buena Vista University, 3-0, in a NCAA Division III men's soccer match at Abel Stadium.

The Nebraska Wesleyan University men's soccer team jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but couldn't hold on as Simpson College scored two second goals in the second half to tie the match. Neither team scored in overtime as the home opener ended in a draw for the Prairie Wolves.

Nebraska Wesleyan University first-year head soccer coach Mike Lynch has released the names of 14 recruits, eight men and six women who plan to compete in soccer this fall for the Prairie Wolves. In addition, Lynch has announced the addition of four assistant coaches who will join the NWU coaching staff for the 2009 season.

Mike Lynch has been hired as the new head soccer coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Lynch will be the head coach of both the men’s and women’s programs.

James Beckmann, the all-time winningest head soccer coach in Nebraska Wesleyan history, has announced his plans to step away from the soccer coaching ranks and his position as the head men’s soccer coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University to devote more time to his family.
