Former Nebraska Wesleyan University men’s soccer player Josh Miller was signed today (Nov. 2) by the Omaha Vipers. He was one of three players from a group of six that were invited to camp from tryouts to make the team.
Miller, a native of Rapid City, S.D., was a four-time All-Conference goalkeeper for the Prairie Wolves from 2006-09. He was First-Team All-GPAC in 2007 & 2008 and was named GPAC Defensive Player-of-the-Year in 2007. Miller finished his career ranked third all-time at NWU with 24 career shutouts and was also third with 353 career saves.
The Omaha Vipers are a franchise of the MISL (Major Indoor Soccer League) and will play all home games at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Home opener for the Vipers is Sunday, November 21st at 3:05 pm against the Kansas City Comets.
The MISL represents the Major League of professional indoor soccer in the United States and features the finest indoor soccer players from around the world. The 2010-11 regular season will begin on November 12 and will end on March 13.
