Men's Golf Fourth at BVU Spring Invite

The Nebraska Wesleyan men's golf team shot a team score of 300 on the second day of the Buena Vista Spring Invitational to finish with a two-day total of 615 as the Prairie Wolves placed fourth in the 22-team field.

Three different NWU players finished tied for 13th with a two-day total of 153 (+9). E.J. Hamilton, Patrick Hanzel and Nate Jaeger all finished with the score of 153. The fourth NWU golfer was Ryan Boyer who finished at 159 to tie for 47th. Kyle Jaacks (163) and Geoff Oliphant (166) also competed for NWU.

The Prairie Wolves shot a 315 on Friday during the first day of competition to sit in a tie for fourth place. The low round of the day for NWU was E.J. Hamilton's 77.

Scores were much lower on Saturday as Hanzel fired a 73, Jaeger shot 75 while Hamilton and Boyer shot 76.

Central College and Kirkwood Community College tied for the team title with a two-day score of 611. Andrew Townsend from Central shot a 2-over 146 to win the individual title.
