Nebraska Wesleyan University freshman men’s golfer Drew Taylor has been named to the 2012 PING All-American team for NCAA Division III. Taylor was named to the Division III PING All-America Third Team.
Taylor (Omaha, Neb.) finished tied for 17th at the NCAA III Golf Championships with a four-day total of +10 (298). Taylor was tied for second place after the first two rounds of the tournament. NWU was not in the top 15 teams so the Prairie Wolves did not make the cut as a team.
The Millard North H.S., graduate had a season stroke average of 75.78 during the 2011-12 season to lead the Prairie Wolves. He was the All-GPAC and named to the Central Region All-Region team. He had four top five finishes during his freshman season.
Taylor now becomes the 16th NWU player to become an All-American in men’s golf, marking the second straight season Nebraska Wesleyan has had a Third-Team All-American.
