Golfers Win Title at Fred Kravetz Invitational

Nebraska Wesleyan captured the team title at the Fred Kravetz Men's Golf Invitational held Apr. 20-21 at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, N.Y.

The Prairie Wolves had a team score of 631 to defeat McDaniel College and Franklin & Marshall by six strokes.

NWU freshman Drew Taylor took hom the individual title. Taylor won the title after a tiebreaker decided the individual champion. Taylor and Carnegie Mellon's Ian Bangor were tied at 153 (75-78) with the tie-breaker being the second nine holes on Saturday's round.

Conditions on Saturday were less than ideal and very poor compared to Friday's round of sunny and 80 degrees. On Saturday, players competed in wind, rain and cold temperatures.

Four Prairie Wolves placed in the top 15 at the Kravetz Invitational. Beau Brown shot a 157 (74-83) to tie for seventh overall. Logan Palmer was 11th place with a 161 (79-82) while Ryan Boyer tied for 12th with a 162 (76-86). The fifth NWU golfer was Rory Doll who shot 164 to tie for 20th.
