A pair of Nebraska Wesleyan University men’s golfers have been named to the Division III Ping All-America teams.  Sophomore Patrick Hanzel was named to the Ping All-America Second-Team and junior Nate Jaeger was on the Third-Team. 

May 16

The Nebraska Wesleyan men’s golf team saved their best round for the final day as the Prairie Wolves shot a team score of 298 to finish in a tie for 10th place at the NCAA Division III Championships at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

May 7

Three members of the Nebraska Wesleyan University men’s golf team were named to the 2008-09 Great Plains Athletic Conference men’s golf All-GPAC team that was announced Thursday (May 7).  Juniors E.J. Hamilton and Nate Jaeger, joined sophomore Patrick Hanzel on the All-GPAC team.   In addition, NWU head coach Brett Balak was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men’s Golf Coach-of-the-Year.

Nebraska Wesleyan University was one of 36 teams to earn a spot in the 2009 NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Championships when the field was announced on Monday (May 4) by the NCAA III men's golf national committee.

April 28

The Nebraska Wesleyan University men's golf team overcame a five-stroke deficit and shot a round of 310 in the final qualifier round to stake claim to the 2009 Great Plains Athletic Conference men's golf championship that was held Tuesday (Apr. 28) at Whispering Creek Golf Course in Sioux City, Iowa.

April 9

The Nebraska Wesleyan University men's golf team pulled within five strokes of the lead after firing a round of 308 at the GPAC Qualifier #3 on Thursday (Apr. 9) at Lochland Country Club in Hastings, Neb. NWU now has a team score of 913 to trail Dakota Wesleyan University by five strokes.

September 29

The NWU men's golf team posted their highest team score of the tournament on the third and final day of the Gustavus/Twin Cities Classic to finish in ninth place as a team. The Prairie Wolves shot a team score of 312 on Monday (Sept. 29) at White Bear Yacht Club to finish with a three-day total of 916.

September 18

Nebraska Wesleyan remains in second place in the team standings at the GPAC Golf Championships after the second GPAC Qualifier was held Thursday (Sept. 18) at Wilderness Ridge Golf Course in Lincoln.

September 10

Nebraska Wesleyan junior golfer E. J. Hamilton was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Co-Men's Golfer-of-the-Week. He joins Nick Gates from Dakota Wesleyan University in receiving the honor.

September 6

Nebraska Wesleyan shot a team score of 301 to finish in second place at the first Great Plains Athletic Conference men's golf qualifier on Saturday (Sept. 6) at Wild Oak Golf Club in Mitchell, S.D. The host school, Dakota Wesleyan University, is the leader after the first qualifier with a team score of 289.

June 9

Nebraska Wesleyan University head men’s golf coach Brett Balak has announced that Scott Bruening plans to enroll at Nebraska Wesleyan University and play golf.
