NWU Men's Golf Moves Up 12 Spots To No. 4 in Coaches' Poll

The Nebraska Wesleyan University men’s golf team moved up 12 spots from No. 16 to No. 4 in the latest NCAA Division III Golf World/Nike Golf Coaches Poll that was released Nov. 1. The poll combines the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Nebraska Wesleyan is now No. 4 in the coaches’ poll and remains No. 1 in the Golfstat NCAA III head-to-head computer rankings.

The Prairie Wolves received 249 points in the poll to move up from their previous ranking of No. 16. Oglethorpe got nine first place votes and is ranked No. 1 this week. Methodist received another first place vote to rank second while University of Texas-Tyler is third.

During the fall portion of the 2012 season the Prairie Wolves won the St. John’s Fall Invitational, placed second at the Twin Cities Classic and were second in the GPAC Championships after the first two qualifiers.
