Men's Golf Ranked #15 in DIII Coaches' Poll

The Nebraska Wesleyan University men’s golf team moved up four spots to No. 15 in the second Golf World/Nike Golf Division III Coaches’ Poll of the fall 2010-11 season.

The Prairie Wolves received 143 points to tie with Emory University for 15th in the rankings. Greensboro got 17 first place votes and is ranked No. 1 this week. NWU was ranked No. 19 in the first poll of the season.

So far this season Nebraska Wesleyan has competed in three tournaments, winning the team title in two of the three events. At the big two-day St. John’s University tournament in Minnesota, the Prairie Wolves were fourth among 21 other NCAA Division III teams.

Next week NWU will compete at the second GPAC Qualifier at Lochland C.C., in Hastings on Oct. 7. They will close out their 2010 falls season at the Gordin Classic in Greensboro, N.C., on Oct. 10-11.
