Hannah Kinberg was the individual female champion in the Tori Neubauer Race at the La Crosse Cross Country Invitational, while the Nebraska Wesleyan men placed second as a team in the Jim Drews race on Saturday (Oct. 15) in La Crosse, Wis.
Kinberg helped the Prairie Wolves women place third overall as a team. She ran a time of 22:12 to win the individual title. Teammate Hayley Sutter was just two places behind as she was third in a time of 22:26. Also placing in the top 25 was Ali Tewes who was 18th in a time of 23:06.4.
Wisconsin-Eau Claire was the team champion with 44 points. NWU had a total of 120.
For the Nebraska Wesleyan men, they scored 112 points to finish behind the host school UW-La Crosse who scored 79.
Mike Rathje led the Prairie Wolves by placing 11th overall in a time of 25:47. Ben Paben was 12th overall in a time of 25:58. The third NWU runner was Jordan Rector who placed 21st in a time of 26:12.7.
