NWU Cross Country Receives National Ranking

The Nebraska Wesleyan University cross country teams received national recognition as both the men’s and women’s teams were both ranked in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division III National polls that were released Wednesday (Aug. 27).

The NWU men nearly cracked the top 10 as the Prairie Wolves are ranked #12 in the preseason poll. NWU is the top ranked team in the Central Region and was ranked #1 in the regional poll.

SUNY Cortland from New York was ranked #1 in the preseason poll.

The NWU women, who were ranked fifth in the Central Region poll, were ranked #30 in the preseason poll.

Amherst College from Massachusetts is ranked #1 in the women’s poll.

The NWU Cross Country teams will run in an Alumni Meet on Sept. 13, then begin actual competition on Sept. 20 when they host the Woody Greeno Invitational.
