December 19

For the fourth season in a row, runners from Nebraska Wesleyan University earned major honors when the All-Independent Cross Country teams were announced by the Association of Division III Independents.

November 19

The Nebraska Wesleyan men’s cross country team is preparing for the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships that will be held Saturday, Nov. 22 at the L.S. Ayres Athletic Complex at Hanover College in Hanover, Ind.  Jackie Spelts from the NWU women’s team also qualified and will be running in the women’s race.

November 15

The Nebraska Wesleyan men's cross country team won the NCAA III Central Region Championships to earn a spot at the NCAA III Championships on Nov. 22 in Hanover, Indiana. The Prairie Wolves edged St. John's (Minn.) by nine points to win the 26-team field. Also, Jackie Spelts qualified individually for the NWU women by placing third overall.

November 8

The Nebraska Wesleyan men edged Concordia University by one point, 38-39 and the NWU women defeated Concordia by 24 points as both Prairie Wolf cross country teams won the 2008 Great Plains Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday (Nov. 8) at Hastings, Neb.

October 18

The Nebraska Wesleyan cross country teams had a very good performance on Saturday morning (Oct. 18) at the Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational in La Cross, Wis. The NWU women placed eighth overall as a team, while the NWU men finished 10th.

October 4

The NWU Cross Country teams headed south for their second race of the season to the 72nd installment of the Cowboy Jamboree, hosted by Oklahoma State University.  The 2008 Cowboy Jamboree, the oldest consecutive cross country race in the nation, had a total of 105 university, college and junior college teams race this year.

August 27

The Nebraska Wesleyan University cross country teams received national recognition as both the men’s and women’s teams were both ranked in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division III National polls that were released Wednesday (Aug. 27).

July 2

Nebraska Wesleyan University Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Ted Bulling has released the names of 31 recruits who plan to compete in cross country and/or track and field while attending NWU in 2008-09.
