Lance and Dinan Earn All-AD3I Recognition

Nebraska Wesleyan men’s basketball players Jim Lance and Nick Dinan were both named to the 2010 All-Independent Men’s Basketball teams that were announced today (Mar. 16) by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I).  Both players earned honorable mention All-AD3I honors.

Jim LanceLance (Nebraska City, Neb.) led the Prairie Wolves in both scoring and rebounding as the starting center for NWU.  Lance scored 10.3 points and pulled down 4.9 rebounds while also shooting a team best .568 from the floor and .770 from the charity stripe.  The Nebraska City Lourdes H.S., graduate reached double figures in scoring in 15 games this season, including the final eight games in conference play.  He was named AD3I Player of the Week in December.

Nick DinanDinan (Omaha, Neb.) was second on the team in scoring and the other player in double figures at 10.2 points per game.  He started all 25 games at point guard leading the team at 31.4 minutes per game.  Dinan was also the team leader in steals with 50.  The Omaha Gross H.S., graduate was in double figures in scoring in 15 games during the 2009-10 season.  He was a AD3I Player of the Week at the end of January.

Nebraska Wesleyan finished the 2009-10 season with a 10-15 overall record for the second straight season.

The All-Independent Men’s Basketball teams were selected by the men’s basketball coaches from AD3I member schools.
