November 30, 2009

The Nebraska Wesleyan Athletic Department has announced that the Dec. 2nd home men’s basketball game against Dana College will be a “Blackout Night” at Snyder Arena as all fans are encouraged to wear black to support the Prairie Wolves.  The game between the Prairie Wolves and Bulldogs will tip-off at 7:30 pm at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.

Blackout NightThe first 200 fans to arrive will receive free “Blackout Night” NWU T-shirts.  The goal of the Blackout Night is to improve upon last year’s attendance number and “Pack the Gym” to give the Prairie Wolves a home court advantage.

Wednesday's game will match two teams trying to get their first Great Plains Athletic Conference victories of the season.  NWU is 1-4 overall and 0-1 in GPAC play, while Dana College is 2-6 overall and 0-2 in the GPAC.  The Prairie Wolves have suffered tough losses in their first four games as they led at halftime in three of the four games, while leading late in the second half in the GPAC opening loss.

There will be on-court contests at halftime with prizes being handed out, including gift cards to Raising Canes.

NWU will also be having a can-food drive during the night.
