The Nebraska Wesleyan University men’s basketball team will host the 21st Annual Snyder Classic this weekend (Nov. 27-28) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.
Play begins Friday night when Crown College plays Westminster College (Mo.) at 5:30 p.m., followed by Nebraska Wesleyan taking on Colorado College at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the first game will have Crown taking on Colorado College with NWU playing Westminster College to close out the two-day tournament.
Nebraska Wesleyan is 35-5 all-time in Snyder Classic play dating back to the first tournament in 1988. The Prairie Wolves opened the season with a pair of losses at the Bill Merris Tournament in Jacksonville, Ill.
Crown College is also winless entering the Snyder Classic. The Storm were 0-3 before their game on Nov. 24.
Colorado College, NWU’s first opponent, will bring a perfect 2-0 record in the weekend. They won both games of the UCCS Tip-Off Classic last weekend.
Westminster College is 1-3 heading into this weekend’s action. The Blue Jays got a one-point victory over Rhodes College in the Rhodes Tip-Off Classic in Memphis, Tenn.
