Blackout Night Planned for Dec. 10th Game

The Nebraska Wesleyan Athletic Department has announced that the Dec. 10th home men’s basketball game against Concordia University will be a “Blackout Night” at Snyder Arena as all fans are encouraged to wear black to support the Prairie Wolves.  The game between the Prairie Wolves and Bulldogs will tip-off at 7:30 pm at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.

The first 250 fans to arrive will receive free “Blackout Night” NWU T-shirts.  The T-shirts are also for sale at the NWU Bookstore in the student center.

Wednesday's game will match two of the top teams in the GPAC. NWU has just one loss on the season and enters the game with a 6-1 overall record having dropped their first game of the year on Saturday. Concordia is ranked 17th in the NAIA II poll and is on top of the league standings. The Bulldogs are 9-1 overall and a perfect 3-0 in the GPAC.

At halftime of the basketball game, NWU will honor former track athlete Holly Andrews who was one of 30 finalists for the 2008 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.  Also being honored will be the 2008 GPAC Champion men’s and women’s cross country teams from Nebraska Wesleyan. 

There will also be on-court contests after the awards presentation with prizes being handed out.
