Nebraska Wesleyan men's basketball will not make the Great Plains Athletic Conference postseason tournament as they ended up ninth in the GPAC standings after Dakota Wesleyan University defeated Briar Cliff University late Saturday night to seal the Prairie Wolves fate.
The Prairie Wolves finish the season 13-12 overall, 8-12 in GPAC play. It was the first winning season for NWU since 2007-08 and the most wins in five seasons.
NWU ended the season winning five of their last six games to earn the 13 victories, eight wins in conference play.
NWU loses just one senior to graduation, Sass Karemae, and will return all five starters for next season.
