Nebraska Wesleyan University senior point guard Nick Dinan was named to the First-Team of the All-Independent men’s basketball team that was announced by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I). Sophomores Eric Jackson and Trevor Johnson were named to the All-Independent Second-Team.

Nebraska Wesleyan University had three players recognized by the Great Plains Athletic Conference on Wednesday (Feb. 29) when the 2011-12 Men’s Basketball All-GPAC team’s were announced. Senior point guard Nick Dinan, sophomore forward Trevor Johnson and sophomore guard Eric Jackson were all three named All-GPAC honorable mention.

Nebraska Wesleyan shot just 20 percent in the second half as they saw their season come to an end with the No. 3 seed Briar Cliff University Chargers defeating the Prairie Wolves 51-41 in the GPAC men's basketball quarterfinals on Wednesday night (Feb. 22) at the Newman Flanagan Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Nebraska Wesleyan University senior Andy Schweitzer was selected to the First-Team of the 2012 Capital One Academic All-America® College Division Men’s Basketball Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Director’s of America (CoSIDA).

Making their first ever appearance in the Great Plains Athletic Conference postseason tournament, the Nebraska Wesleyan men's basketball team received the No. 6 seed in the 2012 GPAC Tournament bracket that was released Saturday night (Feb. 18).

Nebraska Wesleyan completed the season sweep of rival Doane College with a 67-61 victory over the Tigers in GPAC men's basketball action on Wednesday night (Feb. 15) at the Haddix Center in Crete, Neb. The victory clinches a spot in the GPAC Postseason Tournament for the Prairie Wolves.

Nebraska Wesleyan scored just six points in the final 10:15 of the game and blew an 18-point first half lead as Dakota Wesleyan University rallied for a crucial 67-62 victory over the Prairie Wolves in GPAC men's basketball action on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 12) at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, S.D.

Nebraska Wesleyan closed out their home regular season schedule with an impressive 86-78 victory over conference rival Hastings College on Senior Night (Feb. 8) at Snyder Arena In Lincoln.

Danny Rudeen missed a 3-point attempt with 0:02 remaining in the game as Nebraska Wesleyan was able to hold off Morningside for a 66-63 victory in Great Plains Athletic Conference men’s basketball action on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 4) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Neb.

Nebraska Wesleyan University senior Andy Schweitzer was named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District team that was announced on Thursday (Feb. 2). He was voted to the District 6 First-Team in the College division.

Nebraska Wesleyan took a 34-33 lead with just under 12 minutes remaining in the game but Concordia went on a 14-0 run an never looked back as the Bulldogs knocked off the Prairie Wolves 67-47 in a key GPAC men's basketball game on Wednesday night (Feb. 1) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

Mount Marty led from start to finish as the Lancers snapped Nebraska Wesleyan's two-game winning streak as Mount Marty defeated NWU, 63-56, in a game between two teams tied for eighth in the GPAC men's basketball standings.

With the game tied at 69-69 in the final seconds senior point guard Nick Dinan drove the left side of the hoop and hit a layup and converted the free throw for the old fashioned 3-point play to give Nebraska Wesleyan a 72-69 at Midland University on Wednesday in GPAC men's basketball action.

Nebraska Wesleyan sophomore guard Eric Jackson has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) men’s basketball player of the week for games played Jan. 16-22.

Nebraska Wesleyan shot 63.8 percent from the field and Eric Jackson scored a career-high 29 points as the Prairie Wolves got their biggest win of the season with a 95-84 upset over #5 Dordt College on Saturday (Jan. 21) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

Trailing by just four points with under one minute to play, Nebraska Wesleyan missed two 3-point attempts one field goal and went 1-3 from the free throw line as No. 18 Briar Cliff defeated the Prairie Wolves 67-61 in GPAC men's basketball action on Wednesday night (Jan. 18) in Sioux City, Iowa.

Eric Jackson hit a 3-pointer with just under one minute to play to pull Nebraska Wesleyan within three points in the final minute but Northwestern answered with a basket on the other end and hit four straight free throws to earn a 69-61 victory over the Prairie Wolves on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 14) at the Bultman Center in Orange City, Iowa.

Nebraska Wesleyan shot a season-high 56.6 percent and hit 10 3-pointers on the night as they rolled past rival Doane College, 76-60, in GPAC men's basketball action on Wednesday night (Jan. 11) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln. The win gives NWU the all-time series lead 95-94 as the two rivals entered the game dead even in the all-time series.

Nebraska Wesleyan shot only 17.6 percent from the free throw line (3-17) and that was the difference in the game as Dakota Wesleyan defeated NWU, 65-53, in a Great Plains Athletic Conference men's basketball matchup on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 7) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

Nebraska Wesleyan, the leading defensive team in the GPAC, allowed a season-high 78 points on Wednesday night (Jan. 4) in a 78-70 loss at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa in GPAC men's basketball action.
